Ultra's Magnetics Division is a leading supplier of underwater fixed and portable signature measurement range systems used in land, roll and stray field treatment and ROV (Remote Operational Vehicle) tank ranges. The data produced by these systems is used to reduce ships' magnetic and acoustic signatures, making them less susceptible to mines. The Transmag 2000 series is suitable for use in open ocean as well as harbor entrance applications. Transmag, which has full system modeling capability, is in operation with the UK MoD, the US Navy as well as several other countries.
Ultra's latest products include multi-influence measurement ranges for fixed and transportable applications. Influences measured include: magnetic, acoustic, pressure and electric field. Future developments include adaptive signature control.
